If you lose your ATM or debit card, contact us immediately to cancel your card and request a new one. During business hours, please contact our Customer Information Center at (781) 682-3715. After business hours, please call (800) 554-8969.

How safe are my deposits?
Rest assured, your deposits at South Shore Savings Bank are 100% safe. South Shore Savings Bank is insured through the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and Depositors Insurance Fund (DIF). On October 3, 3008, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) deposit insurance temporarily increased from $100,000 to $250,000 per depositor through December 31, 2009. Deposit Insurance Fund (DIF) insures all deposits above these amounts. What is the SUMsm network?
When you use an ATM at a financial institution where you don't have an account, that institution may charge you an access fee or "surcharge". South Shore Savings Bank is a member of the SUM Program, so all you have to do is look for ATMs that have the "SUM" logo, and you won't pay a surcharge. What is the e-Branch?
e-Branch is the name of our online banking branch. At our e-Branch, you can view account balances, transfer money between accounts, open a new account, order checks, apply for a loan and more! To visit our e-Branch, click here.

How do I sign up for online bill pay?
To add bill pay to your online banking, we will need you to accept the online agreement. Select a checking account and click on the bill payment icon. Answer a few questions and you will receive an email confirming your enrollment within four hours.

Can I download my statement information into Quicken, Microsoft Money or an Excel spreadsheet?
Yes, this can be done from the “Export History” link in the “History” section.

What is Check Imaging?
Image checks replace stacks of canceled checks with a clear, sharp image on your statement of each check paid (front only). This convenient service is provided to our customers at no additional charge.

What is Check 21?
A federal law, known as Check 21, makes it easier for banks to electronically transfer check images instead of physically transferring paper checks in order to make check processing faster and more efficient. Instead of receiving cancelled checks with your monthly statement, you will receive images of your cancelled checks.

How can I get a copy of a check?
Please view your account online and select the check number you’d like to view or call our Customer Information Center at (781) 682-3715 or toll-free at (800)660-7800 and a copy can be retrieved.
